Indication
The rotor dryer, which was developed to perform a succession of drying, disintegrating, and classification process for paste and filter cake at the same time, is an epoch-making drying system different from existing dryers.
It is an essential system for automating the production line of organic chemical products, medicines, and foods sensitive to temperature because it doesn’t require the concentration of raw materials to be adjusted, controls the residual moisture after drying within products and minimizes the dwell time of raw materials.
It can increase the production remarkably because it has a higher heating efficiency compared with existing drying systems. As it doesn’t need a large area of installation, it can reduce maintenance costs and maximize the competitiveness of products.
Features
◎ Structure and features
The rotor dryer basically comprises hot air supply system, raw material feeding system, drying tower, and product recovery system.
– Various kinds of hot air supply systems: It is possible to choose from electric heater, gas heater, etc., depending on the working condition.
– Automatic raw material feeding & controlling system: Screw feeding system with an automatic metered raw material feeding system.
– Easy maintenance: Easy to clean and maintain.
– Easy to recover raw materials: Recovery of raw materials with bag filter or bag filter combined
with cyclone.
◎ Basic principle of drying, disintegration, and classification
Once raw materials are fed by the feeding system, they are mechanically disintegrated by crashing into rotating rotors while their surfaces get dried by hot air within the drying chamber. Meanwhile, the hot air, introduced through a hot air pipe, generates a strong vortex due to the inlet of the hot air pipe and rotating rotors and transports dried and disintegrated raw materials through the walls of a drying chamber down to the outlet in its upper part.
Then large particles, separated by the classification system attached to the outlet and pushed down again to the bottom of the drying chamber, go through repeated cycles of re-disintegration by hot air and rotating rotors, drying, descending, and ascending. In this process, some particles dried and disintegrated into a specific size are transported through the outlet to the recovery system.
◎ Applications
Disintegration and drying of raw materials for electronic ceramics (dielectric material, piezoelectric material, ceramic sensor, secondary battery materials, etc.), structural ceramics, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, foods, cosmetics, etc.
